2. Description of the Services
2.1 The Application
Paris on the Spot is a mobile content application designed to help first-time visitors to Paris plan their time, prepare their monument visits, and adapt when plans change. The Application provides curated recommendations including places to eat, things to do, practical visit tips, and local addresses, organized around the main monuments of Paris.
The Application is a content tool. It does not provide reservation or ticketing services directly. Where relevant, the Application may include links to Google Maps business pages and to third-party booking or ticketing platforms to allow the User to access further information or complete a reservation independently.
The Application requires an internet connection to function. Content is not available offline.
The Application is available as a one-time paid download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The purchase is processed exclusively by Apple or Google, who act as merchant of record. Paris on the Spot is not a party to the financial transaction between the User and the app store.
2.2 The Website
The Paris on the Spot Website is a blog providing editorial content about Paris, including travel tips, insider guidance, and information about the Application. Access to the Website is free and does not require account creation.
The Website may include links to third-party websites, including social media platforms, booking services, and partner resources. Paris on the Spot does not control and is not responsible for the content of those external sites.
3. Access and Use
Neither the Application nor the Website requires account creation. Access to the Website is immediate and free. Access to the Application is granted upon purchase and download.
Both services are intended for personal, non-commercial use only. The User agrees not to use either service for any commercial purpose, including but not limited to reselling, redistributing, or incorporating content into any third-party product or service.
Both services are designed for all ages. Paris on the Spot recommends parental supervision for young children using either service independently.
The User is responsible for ensuring that their device meets the technical requirements necessary to use the Application and for any costs associated with internet or mobile data use.
4. Disclaimer on Content Accuracy
4.1 Application content
The Application contains curated recommendations for restaurants, shops, experiences, and points of interest in Paris. This content is based on the editorial judgment of Paris on the Spot and reflects information available at the time of publication.
Paris, like any city, is in constant evolution. Establishments close, addresses change, and conditions evolve. Paris on the Spot takes reasonable steps to verify and update its content on a regular basis. We are a small, independent operation and genuinely rely on our users to help us keep the content accurate. If you notice something that appears outdated or incorrect, please let us know at bonjour@paris-on-the-spot.com. We read every message and take every report seriously.
That said, we cannot guarantee that all information in the Application is accurate, complete, or current at the time of the User’s visit.
4.2 Limitation of liability — Application
Paris on the Spot cannot be held responsible for:
any establishment listed in the Application that has closed, moved, or significantly changed since publication;
any discrepancy between the information accessible via the Google Maps links provided in the Application and the actual conditions found on the ground;
the availability, accuracy, pricing, or terms of any third-party booking or ticketing service linked from the Application. Any reservation or transaction made through a third-party platform is strictly between the User and that platform. Paris on the Spot is not a party to those transactions and accepts no liability in connection with them;
any direct or indirect loss or inconvenience suffered by the User as a result of relying on information or links contained in the Application.
The User is encouraged to verify critical details directly with the relevant establishments or booking platforms before their visit, in particular for special celebrations or time-sensitive plans.
4.3 Website content
The Website publishes editorial content in the form of blog articles. This content reflects the author’s knowledge, opinions, and experience at the time of writing. It is provided for informational and inspirational purposes only.
Blog articles are not systematically updated after publication. Information about specific establishments, services, or conditions in Paris may no longer reflect current reality. Paris on the Spot cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience arising from reliance on blog content that has become outdated since publication.
4.4 Third-party content and links
Both the Application and the Website may reference or link to third-party establishments, services, platforms, or websites. Paris on the Spot does not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the quality, safety, accuracy, or conduct of any third party referenced in either service. Any dispute or issue arising from interaction with a third party is strictly between the User and that third party.
5. Intellectual Property

Access to the Website is granted for personal, non-commercial reading and information purposes only. Neither license transfers any intellectual property rights to the User.
6. Availability of the Services
Paris on the Spot makes reasonable efforts to ensure that both the Application and the Website function correctly. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of either service or their features.
Paris on the Spot reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Application, the Website, or any part of their content at any time, without prior notice and without liability to the User. In the event of a major update or discontinuation, Paris on the Spot will endeavour to inform Users where reasonably practicable.
The Application requires an internet connection. Paris on the Spot cannot be held responsible for any inability to access the Application’s content resulting from connectivity issues, roaming restrictions, or the User’s data plan.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Paris on the Spot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Application or the Website. This includes, without limitation, any loss of time, missed opportunities, or travel inconvenience.
